My personal Reflections on our School Open Days

1. Which part of the Open Days or which subjects learning display impressed you most?

I think the most impressive part was the Opening and Celebration Ceremony of the 10th anniversary held on Friday evening. That night, there were many show. There were Chinese drama and English musical performances, Chinese dance and musical instrument performances. Many people went to our school to enjoy this exciting celebration. I liked the Chinese modern drama most because it was very entertaining and educational. It could let us think about the messages brought by the drama. I think the supporting characters were very professional. Their acting skills were very good!

1. It is the 10th anniversary of our school this year. Every subject had their own subject display. My favourite were the Mathematics and English displays.

Mathematics is my favoruite subject so I went to the Mathematics display. There were a lot of game stalls and they were very exciting. One of them was Suoku. The game was time-challenged. We only had ten minutes to play the game. I was so nervous when I realized that there was only 25 seconds left. It was a very special learning experience.

There are many English displays on the first floor. I felt very happy because the games were interesting and easy to play. I won a lot of prizes, too.

1. I think the Campus TV impressed me most because it was a work produced by our students. There were a lot of meaningful messages brought by the movies. For instance, the female character in the movie always thought that happiness was never close to her but she did not realize that happiness was always beside her. The story told that we can view things from a different point of view. If we can view things from different perspectives, we will know that the solutions are always there. At the end of the story, the male character died. Despite his death, the female character knew that their happy memories would always be there in her heart.

1. I think the Science game stall was the most interesting because there were a lot of things. It showed some products made by our students. We could play games at the stalls. They were very funny. Besides, we could do experiments in the laboratory. It was all very interesting. I enjoyed playing the games with my friends. There were a lot of interesting things which broadened my horizons.

1. I think the Chinese modern dance was the most impressive part because this was the first time I danced on stage. At first, I followed the wrong steps and the instructor and classmates had to remind me by saying "Girl, please be quick!" Realizing that I would interrupt the practice progress, I practised at home every night. Finally, my dancing skills improved. When I was about to dance on stage, my hands were really wet. I felt very nervous. The teacher encouraged us and asked us not to be scared. I felt very relieved when the performance was finished.

1.      I learnt a lot of things throughout the Open Days. The first thing I learnt was creativity. There were a lot of subject activities. They needed to be creative so that they could create some interesting games to attract the visitors. Another thing I learnt is co-operation. The 10th anniversary was a big event. We needed all students and teachers to co-operate in order to make it a successful one. Finally, I learnt to be hard-working. Students needed to be hard-working so that the activities could be well-organised.

2.      I was a student helper of the Environmental Protection Club. I learnt that we should have some planning before we did anything. When the primary school pupils visited our campus, I introduced our school to them and taught them to play the games.

After the closure of the Open Days, we had to put back the chairs and desks in the classroom. I learnt that we should have responsibility.

3. Last week, our school had its 10th anniversary and Open Days. I saw many fantastic performances. I liked the English Musical very much. There were lots of good songs and interesting scenes. The Chinese drama was also really fabulous. I like it very much. I joined the school choir. I spent a lot of time practicing the songs. My Music teacher, Miss Chau, taught us patiently. She is a very hard-working teacher. We know that a successful performance requires a lot of time and effort. She lets us know that diligence and good preparation are the key to success.

4.      I was honoured to be able to participate in the 10th anniversary of CUHKFAA Chan Chun Ha Secondary School. I was happy that I could see the Celebration and Opening Ceremony. I learnt the importance of team spirit and planning. The whole event would not have been so successful without the effort of different parties. It was a great work produced by our teachers and students.

5.      I learnt a lot during the Open Days. I think unity is the key to a successful event. I saw the power of collective wisdom and team work. Every Chun-Hanian was trying their very best to perform on stage. Without unity, the musical would not have been so amazing. Without team work, the activities would not have been so interesting. I know that with unity and team spirit, we can overcome anything.
