| “Autism” was an unfamiliar word to me and in fact I have no idea what it was. Yet, autism is becoming more and more common in Hong Kong. In the past, there were mostly physical diseases but a number of psychological diseases are being recognized recently. With limited resources, the government is not able to support those who suffer from Autism. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a professional collaboration worldwide. This talk can arouse the public awareness towards Autism, as well as its prevention effectively. I believe the talk not only provides information of the disease, but also serves as a platform for the speakers to share their efforts and enthusiasm to the public. Everyone is actually suffering a certain level of Autism which can bring people to succeed. On contrary, it is an immedicable disease. In short, this talk inspires me to observe, to care and to communicate with people in need. |
