Meeting with CUHK professors

Accompanied by Ms Liu Yee Ling, seven S5 students participated in the ‘Meeting with CUHK professors’ activity on 28th August, 2025. They had a meeting with Professor WONG Chi Sang from The Jockey Club Public Health and Primary Care, Faculty of Medicine. Professor Wong introduced the history, education philosophy, characteristics, and the various student activities organized by United College to students. He also shared his experience with students. Students participating in this activity included Cheng Wing (5A), Choi Wing Lam (5A), Chan Cheuk Yau (5B), Wu Hoi Kuen (5B), Poon Lok Yan (5C), Au Yeung Tak Wing (5D), Tse Hei Man (5D), Leung Tin Hang (5E), Leung Tin Yu (5E), Li Hoi Chi (5E) and Tse Ka Yui (5E).

Accompanied by Ms Au Sin, nine S5 students participated in the activity ‘Meeting with CUHK professors’ on 2nd July, 2025. They had a meeting with Professor Poon Ming Kay from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, CUHK. Professor Poon introduced different study pathways to students and gave them concrete advice. As the Dean of General Education from Wu Yee Sun College, Professor Poon also showed students around CUHK. Students participating in this activity included Chui Wing Lam (5A), Fang Ho Kit (5A), Li Pak Yu (5A), Zhang Jiafeng (5A), Cai Kexin (5B), Lau Lok Hin (5B), Cheng Chi Lam (5C), Chung Wing Tung (5C) and Li Wing Hei (5D).

Accompanied by Ms Liu Wing Chi, ten S5 students participated in the activity 'Meeting with CUHK professors' on 2nd July, 2025. They had a meeting with Professor Leung Yiu-kin, Head of Shaw College. Professor Leung shared his thoughts about Artificial Intelligence and the relationship between Buddhism and Psychology. Besides, he shared with students some tips to relieve stress. Students participating in this activity included Chu Wai Kei Krystal (5A), Wu Ruomiya (5A), Ng Hei Ching (5B), Sun Lan (5B), Ying Hailey Wing Pui (5B), Ng Yan Tung (5C), Chan Chun Yat (5D), Lai Lok Yan (5D), Li Oi Yi (5D) and Ng Ka Lap (5E).

Accompanied by Ms Tse Ka Wing, seven S5 students participated in the activity 'Meeting with CUHK professors' on 2nd July, 2025. They had a meeting with Dr Cheung Sin-ting Juanita, Senior Lecturer of CUHK Department of Sports Science and Physical Education. Dr Cheung introduced the curriculum of CUHK Department of Sports Science and Physical Education program. Besides, she shared with students her teaching experience in physical education. Students participating in this activity included Szeto Wai Kuen (5A), Tsai Ching Yi (5A), Chow Yan Sin (5B), Guan Tai Ming (5B), Ng Yi Cheng (5B), Au Hau Man (5E), and Pang Sherry (5E).

Accompanied by Ms Wong Ka Man, nine S5 students participated in the activity ‘Meeting with CUHK professors’ on 20th June, 2025. They had a meeting with Mr Wan Shiu Kee, Treasurer of The Alumni Association of New Asia College. Mr Wan introduced the curriculum, characteristics and career paths of each Business School of Hong Kong universities. Students participating in this activity included Chong Hoi Tik (5B), Tsui Cheuk Yin (5C), Choi Lok Ching (5D), Fong Tsz Fung (5D), Ho Sin Yan (5D), Chan Merlin (5E), Lam Tsz Ching (5E), Tsang Yau Sing (5E) and Yeung Ching Yi (5E).

Accompanied by Mr Leung Ka Yin, eight S5 students participated in the activity 'Meeting with CUHK professors' on 2nd July, 2025. They had a meeting with Dr Leung Po Ki, Senior Lecturer of CUHK Department of Physics. Dr Leung shared his campus life in university, the enjoyment of learning and teaching Physics. Students participating in this activity included Azim Ka Ching (5A), Hung Lok Hei (5B), Leung Lai Yin Matthew (5B), Kan Yiu Cheong (5C), Kung Cheuk Lok (5C), Leung Ho Ching (5C), Liong Zechariah (5C), Chang Siu Man (5D) and Leung Wai Lap (5D).

Accompanied by Mr Wong Kin Ming, two S5 students and three S4 students participated in the activity 'Meeting with CUHK professors' on 27th June, 2025. They had a meeting with Prof. Tong Man from CUHK School of Biomedical Sciences. Prof. Tong shared the career path of Biomedical Sciences and some problem-solving skills. She also invited students to observe stem cells in a laboratory. Students participating in this activity included Yip Ching Hoi (5A), Lam Tsz Lok Bryan (5B), Cheung Tsz Yan Emily (4C), Ho Ka Yuk (4D) and Lam Tsz Nok (4D).

Accompanied by Ms Lau Suet Ping, nine S5 students participated in the activity 'Meeting with CUHK professors' on 25th June, 2025. They had a meeting with Prof Chair Sek Ying, Vice-Director of Research of the Nethersole School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine of CUHK. Based on Prof Chair’s own growth experience, she encouraged students to work hard and set clear goals so that they can change the current situation and make their dreams come true. Students participating in this activity included Ho Yan Tung (5A), Pan Xingru(5A), Lau Ka Yi (5C), Lo Ching Man (5C), Song Peisha (5C), Lam Cheuk Fei (5D), Lo Wai Lok (5D), To Ka Ying (5D) and Chan Yan Pui (5E).

Our teacher Ms Chun Ka Man accompanied eleven S5 students to participate in the "Meeting with CUHK professors" event. On August 28, 2024, they met with Professor Chair Sek Ying, the Vice-Director of Research and the Head of Graduate Division of The Nethersole School of Nursing at CUHK at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Chair shared insights into university life and his research achievements, while also encouraging the students. The participating students included Leung Tsan Kwong from Wise Five, Cheng Hoi Yiu, Wong Sum Yau, Huang Sze Man, Fung Ting Yan and Lin Tung Wai from Courageous Five, Wong Hau Yi and Wong Fai Man from Loyal Five, Chang On Yi Onnie, Tong Pak Yin and Li Ka Kin from Honest Five.

Our teacher Mr Lam Tsz Wai accompanied eight S5 students to participate in the "Meeting with CUHK professors" event. On July 4, 2024, they met with Mr. Liu Kin Wa, the Chairman of the Alumni Association and School Manager of Chung Chi College at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Mr. Liu shared insights into university life and his research achievements, while also encouraging the students. The participating students included Lee Sze Ching, So Pak Hin and Cheung Chin Wai from Wise Five, Wan Kin Fung from Courageous Five, Lee Pak Lam, Wong Sze Man and Shing Lok Yan from Loyal Five, Yung Wing Lam and Mo Seung Yue from Honest Five.

Our teacher Mr Lau Ying Kin accompanied seven S5 students to participate in the "Meeting with CUHK professors" event. On July 3, 2024, they met with Dr. Leung Po-kin from the Department of Physics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Leung shared insights about university life and research achievements with the students and encouraged them. The participating students included Kam Ka Ho from Wise Five, Poon Chun Fung, Poon Oi Yee and Yu Pak Kiu from Courageous Five, Chow Man Ho, Chung Kwan Ho and Lam Yat Chun from Loyal Five, and Hu Ho Yin from Honest Five.

韋暹蘭老師陪同十一位中五同學參與「我與中大早有約」活動，於2024年7月3日與香港中文大學逸夫書院董事區藹芝女士會面。區女士向同學分享大學生活點滴及研究成果，同時對學生加以勉勵。參與是次活動之同學包括五智班庄思盈、五勇班梅程軒、五忠班陳雪冰、鄭樂妍、杜彥澄、官旻朗、鄧郢翹、黃闡瑩及何凱欣、五誠班冼芷淏及鍾泳桐。

Our teacher Mr Chan Chun Man accompanied six S5 students to participate in the "Meeting with CUHK professors" event. On June 25, 2024, they met with Professor Leung Yiu Kin from the Department of Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Leung introduced the history of Shaw College, the concept of a growth mindset, and the importance of sleep to the students. The participating students included Chang Nok Yiu, Chau Ka Fung, Cheung Chun Kin and Yeung Cheuk Hin Nathan from Wise Five, Pau Ka Hin from Courageous Five and Tse Tsz Fung from Honest Five.

Our teacher Mr Wong Sing Tsun accompanied eleven S5 students to participate in the "Meeting with CUHK professors" event. On June 25, 2024, they met with Professor Poon Ming Kay from the Department of Chinese Language & Literature at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Poon introduced the history of Wu Yee Sun College and shared strategies for subject selection, career insights, and approaches to problem-solving. He guided the students in establishing short- and medium-term goals and answered their questions. The participating students included Au Chi Yung from Wise Five, Cheng Tsz Chung, Chu Po Yee, Lau Yat Tin, Li Man Tai, Qiu Chenqi, Tang Tsz Ching Christy and Ye Yi Qi from Courageous Five, He Yuen Yu and He Hoi Yan Helen from Loyal Five and Wong Shun Ying from Honest Five.

Our teacher Ms Wong Yuk Yin accompanied four S5 students to participate in the "Meeting with CUHK professors" event. On July 4, 2024, they met with Professor Cheng Sze-lok, the Assistant Dean (Research) of the School of Biomedical Sciences at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Cheng shared the main research areas within the Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building and discussed his research achievements. He also encouraged the students to study hard and pay attention to their health. The participating students included Ding Pak Lam from Wise Five, Wai Ka Wang and Chan Yiu Shing from Courageous Five and Kam Chak Lam from Honest Five.

Our teacher Mr Lo Wing Sing accompanied eight S5 students to participate in the "Meeting with CUHK professors" event. On July 4, 2024, they met with Professor Hui Ho-lam from the School of Life Sciences at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Hui shared his views on life and imparted various principles, such as the importance of efficiency and priority setting, while also providing advice regarding further studies. The participating students included Chan Hiu Tung, Chan Hoi Long Kenny and Yip Tin Lok from Wise Five, Cai Chengjin, Chu Wai Nok and Lee Tsz Chun from Courageous Five as well as Chan Chi Kiu and Lau Yat Chit from Honest Five.

Accompanied by MS Chan Tsz Yau, six S5 students participated in the activity ‘Meeting with CUHK professors’ on 26th June, 2023. They had a meeting with professor Chair Sek Ying from the Faculty of Medicine, CUHK. Based on Professor Chair’s own growth experience, she encouraged students, regardless of their background, to work hard and set clear goals so that they will make their dreams come true and succeed in the future. Students participating in this activity included Ho Zheng Wing (5A), Wong Yuen Kiu (5A), Lei Hoi Chong (5B), Kam Siu Yan (5D), Lam Chi Fung (5D) and Ji Wing Chi (5D).

Accompanied by Mr Law Ho Wai, eight S5 students participated in the activity ‘Meeting with CUHK professors’ on 4th July, 2023. They had a meeting with Professor Wong Heung Sang from the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education, CUHK. Professor Wong shared the importance of his perseverance and struggle in both sports and academics when he was young, and encouraged students to treasure the learning opportunities in secondary school, master time management, and achieve satisfactory academic results. In addition, Professor Wong hopes that students can have a broader horizon and make contributions to the communities and groups they belong to in the future. Finally, Professor Wong looks forward to having the opportunity to reunite with our students at CUHK in the future. Students participating in this activity included Man Pak Hei (5A), Chow Ho Wan (5B), Ng Wai Pong (5B), Mok King Him (5C), Chan Tsun Hin (5D), Lo Hong Shun (5D), Mui Ho Hin (5D) and Tsang Kin Ho (5D).

Accompanied by Ms Chong Sin Man, nine S5 students participated in the activity ‘Meeting with CUHK professors’ on 6th July, 2023. They had a meeting with Professor Hui Ho Lam from the School of Life Sciences of CUHK. Professor Hui led the students to visit the Simon F.S. Li Marine Science Laboratory located at Pak Shek Kok. Our students were introduced the research work and achievements of Professor Hui and his research team. Professor Hui was kind to share with them a wide variety of topics such as the theory of evolution, the impact of jellyfish's mass reproduction on marine ecology, and the purpose of studying the genetic map of jellyfish. Our students all benefited a lot. Professor Hui also encouraged the students to pursue a meaningful and fulfilling life. Students participating in this activity included Wong Po Yee (5A), Chan Kwun Yu(5B), Li Ka Kin (5B), Chan Lok Hin (5C), Chui Sheung Kit (5C), Hung Yat Yin (5C), Ngan Nok Yan (5C), Hau Chun Him (5D) and Ho Siu Yau (5D).

Accompanied by Ms Hui Yin Ting, eight S5 students participated in the activity ‘Meeting with CUHK professors’ on 7th July, 2023. They had a meeting with our Alumni Manager Mr. Chan Tsz Hin. Mr. Chan shared his ways to study and memorable campus life at CUHK. Students participating in this activity included Cheung Po Man (5A), Ko Yuen Yu (5A), Leung Sze Yi (5A), Pang Chun Hei (5A), Fan Wing Lam (5B), Wong Ka Wai (5B), Chung Hoi Ching (5D) and Fung Yan Ki (5D).

Accompanied by Ms Lau Tsz Ching, seven S5 students participated in activity ‘Meeting with CUHK professors’ on 10th July, 2023. They had a meeting with Professor Cheng Sze Lok from School of Biomedical Sciences. Professor Cheng invited our students to visit the laboratory and share the results of research on liver cancer. All students benefited a great deal from Professor Cheng’s valuable sharing. Students participating in this activity included Cheng Cheuk Ho(5A), Jarn Sung Hei(5A), Kan Tsz Man(5A), Lee Lok Yau(5A), Yeung Nga Yin(5B), Yu Tin Chi(5C) and So Yin Hang(5D).

Accompanied by Mr Chau Chun Tung, seven S5 students participated in the activity ‘Meeting with CUHK professors’ on 11th July, 2023. They had a meeting with Professor Cheung Chak Chung from Department of Electrical Engineering, City U. Professor Cheung shared his thoughts on the development of science and technology in Hong Kong and encouraged students to participate in technological innovation activities. Students participating in this activity included Lee Siu Cheung(5A), Long Yui Hang(5A), Wei Tsz Hung(5A), Wong Ho Sing(5A), Ngai Chun Hei(5C), Tan Yui Chiu(5C) and Ho Shung Tin(5D).

Accompanied by Ms Leung Chui Lin, seven S5 students participated in the activity ‘Meeting with CUHK professors’ on 11th July, 2023. They had a meeting with Professor Chan Sun On from School of Biomedical Sciences. Professor Chan shared his study experience and anatomy work, and encouraged students to choose a professional development path that suits them based on their interests. Besides, Professor Chan invited our students to visit Mei Yun Tang which is the latest student hostel and Pavilion of Harmony. Students participating in this activity included Ho Sze Lok(5A), Leung Ka Man(5A), Chan Tsz Tsun(5C), Shum Chi Him(5C), Chung Cheuk Wing(5D), Ng Pui Ming(5D) and Yau Hoi Yee(5D).

Accompanied by Ms Lui Wai Ping, seven S5 students participated in the activity 'Meeting with CUHK professors' on 25th August, 2023. They had a meeting with Professor Leung Yiu-kin, Head of Shaw College. Professor Leung shared his exploration of his personal interests in music and invited students to share songs. The students were all engaged in the activity and benefited greatly. Students participating in this activity included Lau Ka Hung(5B), Yung Nga Ki(5B), Cheung Chin Wai(5C), Leung Wing Yan(5C), Sujansinghani Nathaniel Marcus(5C), Chung Cheuk Wing Tweety(5D) and Tsang Man Yi(5D).
