To promote environmental protection, our school has collaborated with ‘GREEN@COMMUNITY' to hold the 'Green Schools for Zero Waste' programme.
On April 10, 2024, an assembly sharing was conducted to introduce 'GREEN@COMMUNITY' and the basics and importance of environmental recycling and sorting, with an aim to raise students' awareness.
Afterwards, on November 9, 2024, the main members of the conservation programme participated in on-campus training and visited community street counters to gain a deeper understanding of the internal environment and the operation of the facilities.
During the first phase from January 20 to 24, 2025, we held a five-day environmental recycling and sorting experiential week. We designed four questions related to recyclable items to test students' understanding of whether these items can be recycled, while also educating them on key points of environmental recycling and sorting. During the experiential week, students responded enthusiastically and actively participated in the activities. Through this event, students’ understanding of recycling is deepened. They also learned methods to practise waste reduction at the source and the correct ways of carrying out recycling.
The second phase of the sorting and recycling experiential days took place on 10th February, 24th February, 7th April, 28th April and 12th May, 2025, allowing students to practise waste reduction at the source and the correct ways of carrying out recycling. Through a series of activities, some students have shown active participation and have become very familiar with recycling and sorting.
After several months, our ‘Green Schools for Zero Waste’ conservation activities have successfully concluded. We sincerely thank everyone for their enthusiastic participation and support. The efforts and contributions of the Chun Hanians have made our activities more successful and have achieved significant results in promoting environmental awareness.
